Get up and go! Make the most of 2012 in Berkshire

There’s so much for families to do why not visit one of these sites below to find out more?
The Look out Discovery Centre – One of the UK’s premier hands-on interactive science and nature centre! Over 80 exhibits to entertain children and adults alike. Enjoy 1,000 hectares of Crown Estate woodland with nature walks, cycle trails and an adventure play area.

Coral Reef Water World - Specially designed with fun in mind there are three giant water slides, wild water rapids, an erupting volcano and hissing snakes. Pirate ship with water shooting cannons and Sauna & Steam world – a relaxing haven for adults. For the little ones there is a rain cloud, small slides and beach.

Go Ape! – Can you handle 3 hours of tree top adventure? Are you wild enough to climb 30ft up a rope ladder, Tarzan swing into a giant rope net then zip wire through trees, crawl through tunnels and tackle high wire rope bridges? If the answer is ‘yes’, you’re ready to Go Ape. Age 10 & over.

Beale Park Wildlife Park & Gardens – Space, fresh air, fun, adventure, enchanting animals, exotic beauty, animal farm, large children’s adventure playground, Little Tykes world, Miniature steam railway, all on the banks of the River Thames.

Pope's Meadow - Come and explore this 13.7 hectare park where 18th Century poet Alexander Pope spent much of his childhood! The parkland is a Wildlife Heritage Site and includes a pond, copse and open grassland in addition to an outdoor children's play area. Picnic tables and benches are also located throughout the site.

Thorpe Park - For adrenaline junkies you can't miss out on Thorpe Park, here you can go 0-80 in 2 seconds, spin through 10 loops and drop a beyond vertical angle of 100 degrees. Excited yet? The ultimate adrenaline rush!
