Windsor

A stroll around Windsor town is a delight for lovers of splendid architecture and rich history. Its military pagentry is second only to London, and the town’s many high quality shops, boutiques, pubs and restaurants make every visit an enormous pleasure.

 

Windsor Castle

The world famous Windsor Castle requires no words of description. The second home of Her Majesty The Queen, large sections of this magnificent royal residence are open to the general public.
 

The castle is open throughout the year with the exception of 6th April, 18th June, 25th December and 26th December.  Please remember the castle is a working palace and access to various areas of the castle may be subject to change at short notice.

Eton College

Across the Thames from the castle and a short walk down the High street.  Eton College was founded in 1440 by Henry VI and was originally attended by 70 'Kings Scholars', today the college is a secondary school for 1,290 boys and was attended by both Prince's William and Harry.

 

Admission Times

The college is open between March and September at the following times.

 

23rd March - 18th April                10.30 - 16.30

19th April - 29th June                  14.00 - 16.30

30th June - 4th September           10.30 - 16.30

5th September - 30th September  14.00 - 16.30

 

The college will be closed on 30th May and 12th June 2007
