 Explore Savill Garden

Savill Gardens

In 1932, encouraged by King George VI and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, Sir Eric Savill began to develop Savill Garden from a boggy area of Windsor's Great Park. Over the years the garden has evolved into a horticultural masterpiece.

With each season Savill Garden shows a different personality. Spring is a blaze of colour as rhododendrons, azaleas, camelias and magnolias fill the woodlands. Through the summer months the herbaceous borders and formal rose gardens are an absolute delight. Superb foliage tinged with fiery gold and russet hues are the autumn's treasures, and when winter descends, beautiful bark and bough sculptures lift the landscape.
