May – second week

Royal Windsor Horse show

Royal Windsor Horse Show is a celebration of all things equestrian. It combines top sporting and competition action with a spectacular venue.

Located in the private gardens and parkland of Windsor Castle, the Show encompasses a huge variety of the sport. From the spectacular Land Rover Carriage Driving Grand Prix, national and international Show Jumping competitions to extensive showing classes and enthralling equestrian displays, it is unique in its breadth of appeal.

Alongside the three show arenas you will find over 200 shops, The Food and Drink Festival, a variety of restaurants, bars, and food courts, a fun fair and 4 x 4 course, and if you tire of all that, there’s the beautiful grounds to walk and picnic in.


June – second week

Royal Ascot

Royal Ascot is the world’s most famous race meeting, steeped in history dating back to 1711. The royal family attend the meeting, arriving each day in a horse-drawn carriage. It is a major event in the British social calendar, and press coverage of the attendees and what they are wearing often exceeds coverage of the actual racing.


July – First week

Henley Royal Regatta

Founded over 160 years ago, this internationally renowned five day event starts on the last Wednesday of June. Beautiful Henley-on-Thames plays host to local and international oarsmen, and thousands of happy spectators who congregate for this historic and most social of sporting events.

July – last weekend

Cartier International Polo – Smiths Lawn

The biggest polo day in the world! Royalty, celebrities and leading players combined with a 25,000 strong crowd make attending this event an experience you’ll never forget. Follow the highs and lows of the players as they gallop across the pitch, ride each other off or turn on a sixpence in pursuit of that all important goal. Remember to visit the Retail Village in between matches for a unique shopping experience.
