It was very clean and the staff were lovely, very friendly and all the latest Covid measures seemed to be being met. The restaurant isn’t fine dining but it was perfect for a family meal, excellent choice of the kids menu. Breakfast was lovely but seemed a little chaotic, we didn’t get a hot drink until I had to ask for one and no one came over to take our order for cooked breakfast for quite some time but was lovely when it arrived. The bathroom was fab, our youngest particularly liked the jacuzzi bath. Breakfast was great, good selection and all table service. We had dinner in the restaurant one of our evenings which was also very good, good selection of meals available and a great selection for the children also. Overall a great stay- we all would have stayed longer if the hotel wasn't fully booked. We cannot wait to book a return visit. More

All the staff from Reception, especially Tom who helped with many requests I made on behalf of my passengers dealt with it all promptly and efficiently, to house keeping, all gave service with a smile, polite, patient and efficient within their roles. All meals were delicious and cooked to perfection with all dietary requirements catered for. If I stayed in this area again whether it was for business or for family, this would always be my first choice. The one and only thing I would suggest, if you are used to soft feather pillows, you may want to take your own otherwise you will have a extremely comfortable and peaceful night's sleep. The management obviously have great working relationships with their staff as they are all a credit to the hotel.

Covid compliant. We... read more felt very safe at all times. Anti bac stations around the hotel, QR venue check in on arrival and face mask policy enforced around the site unless sat eating and drinking. Well done to the Manager.

Due to Covid you have to book a slot to swim. Great that the Manager is taking the Covid Health & Safety Regulations seriously. We had to wait until 8pm but hey ho. Disappointingly, pool staff not very welcoming, made you feel like she was doing you a massive favour letting you swim. Felt like she wanted you to get off home so she could. Very odd feeling indeed, like we had imposed. Very disappointed considering that was the main reason we booked a stay.... so our two well behaved children could have a dip in a pool. Something they have wanted to do since March. Furthermore, the pool was too cold.

The buffet breakfast was not a buffet breakfast. Basically cereal, toast or cooked.... brought out to you. No variation just a set plate.
We ordered a cooked breakfast which was small, one of each item and less than a child size portion of baked beans. We got a strange look when my husband asked for another piece of bacon instead of tomato and mushrooms. Breakfast was served luke warm, tea and toast was served after we had finished. Not worth the money paid.

Unlikely we would return as The Coppid Beech fell short of offering a pleasant swim and a decent breakfast.

The room was well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. Unfortunately, we had to prompt for each part of the package but generally we had a good time and breakfast was very good. The staff were very helpful and, in these COVID times, social distancing was maintained in all areas of the hotel.

  Me and my fiancée stayed in an Executive Suite at the Coppid Beech Hotel this October, for a four-night spa break and would like to thank all the staff for... read more a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

The room itself was lovely, a good size with air-conditioning, a comfortable sofa and two armchairs. In addition, there was a dining table, coffee table as well as a very large bed. I would agree with some other reviews on TripAdvisor stating that the rooms are somewhat dated and could probably do with a refurbishment. The main issue was that there were no plug sockets immediately next to the bed and the other plug sockets which were taken up by bedside lamps, were incapable of accepting standard UK plugs. This did strike us as a rather odd design decision; it would make more sense to be able to use the plug sockets for whatever you see fit, instead of them being limited to the lamps. As already mentioned, the room was somewhat dated so there were no USB sockets. I would recommend bringing along a multi USB charger so you can easily charge all your devices. However, all the furniture and the bed were very comfortable and we "slept" very well every night...;-)

When we first arrived, the sofa was off to one side instead of directly opposite the large TV so we shifted it round, an arrangement which as well as allowing us to watch TV in comfort, also acted as a divider between the living area and bedroom; the room was more like a large open plan studio rather than a suite.

Moving on to the bathroom, there was a very large rectangular shower cubicle with a rainfall shower head as well as one that you could detach from the wall; both of which were extremely powerful. In addition, there were two sinks and a couple sized spa bath. I would suggest to the hotel that a small shelf is installed in the shower cubicle so there’s somewhere to put toiletries but apart from that, we couldn’t fault the bathroom at all. There was an issue with our shower, which caused it to be running far too hot but upon notifying reception, we were visited by a maintenance man within a matter of minutes who rectified the problem in short order. After this, there were no other problems with the bathroom.

This was an indication of the high level of service we could expect throughout our stay. My fiancée requires various alterations to her food due to recovering from a major operation affecting her ability to chew and swallow and we didn’t even have to notify the restaurant who were already aware of her requirements having been informed by the very helpful and efficient reception team. Indeed, throughout our stay, nothing was too much for the staff whether it was room service (who would always bring us our requests in a matter of minutes), or any of the plentiful requests that we made to the restaurant and bar staff.

We had no concerns about Covid-19, with all staff wearing masks at all times, social distancing measures and signs as well as bottles of hand sanitiser in the room along with sanitiser stations dotted around the hotel. Presumably due to Covid-19, the pool and jacuzzi downstairs had to be booked as 45-minute slots only which didn’t leave much time to enjoy the pool and the jacuzzi during the same session but that is down to Covid-19 rather than any shortcomings of the hotel itself.

So once again, if you are looking for a spa break within a well run hotel with courteous staff that’s within easy reach of London, the Coppid Beech Hotel comes highly recommended and we can see ourselves returning in the near future.
